Hello world!
I am now registered for BYU-Idaho classes for Fall Semester 2012!
On June 20, 2012, I woke up at 5:45, baggy eyed and groggy, and went downstairs to eat a little something before I registered for all my classes. The registration period for me opened at 6:00 in the morning on that day, and I needed to be on top of things in order to get the classes I needed and wanted to fulfill all the requirements. I had a bowl of strawberries and a glass of cranberry juice, but I was so nervous, I didn't really finish either of them.
The night before, I figured out that I was able to look up the classes that I needed to and was able to figure out a pretty good schedule--but this would only work if I got the classes I needed to before someone else did. I spent a good three or four hours, working well into the night, and finally had gone to bed around 12:30 in the morning. I had set up my dad's laptop in my room, making sure the website would be pulled up when I turned the laptop on and had prepped everything I needed to, ensuring that everything would run smoothly in the morning.
I jinxed myself, didn't I?
After I had partially finished my glass of juice and my bowl of strawberries, I went back up to my room, anxiously awaiting for the clock to turn to 6:00 am. I sat in my sock monkey footie pajamas, snuggled up and watching the sun rise outside my window. I logged in to the registration program, had my paper that said what classes I needed at what times on what days, etc, and was ready to go.
That was when the first inconvenience came.
The laptop, which had been perfectly fine the night before, suddenly decided to drop the internet signal. Here I was, sitting and waiting for the clock to turn to 6:00, and a notification box pops up telling me no internet can be found. What time was it when it did that? 5:58. I hurried and reset all the network and internet signals, and was fortunately able to retrieve a strong signal by 5:59. Phew. That was close.
The clock turned 6, I refreshed the window, and the screen said I was now available to register. Giddy inside, I turned quickly to my paper to see what class I needed to register for first--which class had the most priority--and as I turned back to the laptop screen, inconvenience #2 struck.
My dad's laptop is somewhat old, but the screen was kind of shaky on it. The screen was never clear, and once in a while, it would randomly spaz out and you couldn't really read what was on it. This was what it had decided to do. At 6 in the morning when my eyes were still a little blurry. When I really needed to be able to read the fine print by all the classes.
Sheesh. All the luck.
Good thing I had kind of run through registering the night before. Otherwise, this would have been a complete and utter disaster!
Anyways, enough about my dreadfully drastic pre-registration inconveniences. You probably want to know what classes I signed up for, right?

And there you have it! :)
I am so excited!
I was also able to reserve textbooks for all of my classes, which will be really nice! I won't have to wait in those horribly long lines the first few days of school. Phew! I was able to request that I wanted Used if they had it, but I would take New if it was the only option. I also requested that I have all the required as well as all the recommended works for my classes. The nice thing about requesting textbooks is that I don't have to look for them, the staff there will look for them, they will box them up, and all I have to do is show up with money, my id card, a paper saying that I did request textbooks, and voila! I have textbooks!
I also will be ordering my laptop sometime soon!!! This is something I've been looking forward to for a really really long time! And the one I'm ordering is going to be awesome! :) It even has a fingerprint reader! :)
Well, I think that's about it for right now!
Stay posted!
(Oh, PS, my toes are healing quickly and they don't hurt anymore! Cross your fingers and pray that they won't come in ingrown again! :S)
