Hello world!
Let it be known that after 13 years (including Kindergarten),
I AM DONE WITH SCHOOL!!
No, I haven't graduated yet, but I will on Wednesday night. No school tomorrow since it's Memorial Day. No school on Tuesday--I just have graduation practice. Wednesday, no school since Graduation is that evening.
I'm done. I'm done. I'm done!
I also will be graduating from Seminary later tonight, where I will receive my diploma, I will get a certificate for lettering, and also the Presidential lettering award, saying that I have lettered in Seminary for all four years of high school. I am also playing a musical number with one of my friends, Camille Ward, tonight, and I think the title of the song is very fitting--especially for a Graduation. "Guide Me to Thee." I don't know about you, but I thought it was very fitting for tonight. At least it is for me.
Now that I'm really done with school, and all I need is my diploma, it's starting to hit me that maybe I really am done. After 12 years, it's kind of weird thinking that the next step is university this fall. Just to pound it into my head a little more, the talks in church were based on trusting in the Lord and knowing he has a purpose for us all, my Primary class was really sad to learn that I won't be able to teach them in the fall when I go to school, my Young Women's class is really happy to see me each week, but are sad when they remember I'm leaving, the lesson in Young Women's was about marriage, which then my leaders said would be a possibility in a few years for me, I got a graduation present from my leaders, and a present from one of my leaders/great friends. :)
All in all, it's been a really great day. And I think it's just going to get better. To add to that, this may sound cheesy, but I think it's awesome--I got new shampoo and conditioner from Costco. It's Dove, and it smells like pomegranate. BEST THING OF MY LIFE. I've only had it for one day, but it smells so good! The really sweet aroma is always around your head, but isn't too strong, and I love the smell of it. We also got the same kind of body wash. I just feel like a pomegranate today. I love it. :) Weird, I know, but that's also helped me feel great today. Just clean, and happy, and ready for life to happen!
I have graduation announcements ready to hand out and mail, and most of the ones that didn't need a stamp have been, but I have been very slow with the ones that will be needing to be mailed. So, if you don't get an invitation, it's either because it is in the mail somewhere because I have slacked off, or it is because I only had so many invitations and wasn't able to provide everyone I know living with one. :) I love you all, don't worry. An announcement doesn't mean I don't love you!
Well, that's about all I have to say, and all I really have time for--I have to get ready for Graduation tonight.
Thanks for reading my blog and thank you for all being such great people in my life!
Remember, starting after today, this blog will be a way that I will keep updated with my family members and close friends, with whom I might not have time to call each week and let know what happened. This way, I can keep a personal blog that lets you know all my exciting adventures, but I have more room to do it (in a more private manner) than Facebook will allow me. When I hopefully get a camera soon, pictures will be up of me (especially at BYU-Idaho), just so you know I'm alive and well. :) I'm sure the first few weeks of college will have the most pictures and the most exclamation marks, so keep posted. I may even post pictures of what things I get for graduation and for college this fall. :)
Live. Love. Laugh. Grow.
